The Maine chapter of the American Institute of Architects is teaming up with Engine, a community arts organization based in Biddeford, Maine, for CANSTRUCTION, a charitable sculpture event, using cans of food to create amazing sculptures by teams of architects, designers, engineers and students. The sculptures will be built inside
with over 50 artists and crafters showing their wares.
Thanks to the Quimby Family Foundation’s strong belief in funding the arts in Maine, Engine has received a $30,000 grant to support operational costs for the organization’s first year. This grant will help secure a Main Street venue in downtown Biddeford to be announced this fall 2010.
