UNE Art Show

Join us on Friday, November 30, for the opening of the University of New England’s Faculty Show at Engine. The exhibition will run through January 5. Gallery hours are Wednesday through Friday from 1pm-6pm and Saturdays from 11am-2pm, or by chance.

This exhibition presents recent artwork created by the faculty of the University of New England’s Department of Arts. From drawing and painting to photography and 3D-printed sculpture, each artist brings a unique voice and expertise to this exhibit. The participating faculty are: Stephen Burt, Joseph Della Valle, Sarah Gorham, Tim Greenway, Holly Haywood, Lisa Pixley, Alex Rheault, Andy Rosen, Amanda Skinner, Oran Suta, Charles Thompson, Nathan Stevens, and Reesa Wood.

The Department of Creative and Fine Arts offers a wide array of courses in visual and performing arts emphasizing the acquisition of knowledge through experiential learning in both traditional studio arts and digital media, and encourage creative cross-disciplinary solutions to real-world problems.

Engine and UNE have been collaborating on exhibitions and delivery of curriculum since 2010.

Engine is and has been a focal point of downtown Biddeford for many years for so many artists and creative spirits. It is a go-to for me: a retreat, a destination, a source for connection and ideas and community.

Engine is a wonderful place to work surrounded by wonderful people who have infused so much love and light into the downtown of Biddeford. I cannot imagine a bright future in the town without this wonderful organization.
