RUMPUS 2019

Engine’s March show is RUMPUS: An egalitarian art show featuring works by 129 community members from children to professional artists. The exhibition runs from March 2nd through March 30, 2019.

Gallery hours are Wednesday through Friday 1pm-6pm and Saturdays 11am-2pm.

RUMPUS, meaning a noisy disturbance, commotion, hubbub, uproar, or fracas, is a non-juried annual event and community favorite. All work is accepted, as long as the piece is prepared for hanging. Tammy Ackerman, Engine Executive Director says, “We’re always excited to see what comes in the door and are never disappointed with the diversity of the work. RUMPUS is a great way to learn about new artists working in the community.”

In Engine’s storefront window, artist James Chute, Freeport, will have an installation called stones & dead flowers.

Engine is a wonderful place to work surrounded by wonderful people who have infused so much love and light into the downtown of Biddeford. I cannot imagine a bright future in the town without this wonderful organization.
